Education Access and Equity

Study after study has shown America’s education system serves some students better than others. LMC has had the privilege of working with some of the most effective education reform advocates in the country. Our involvement in the field arose once Cheryl D. Fields joined the firm. She came to LMC having worked many years as a journalist covering higher education for a national magazine.

Over the years, LMC has collaborated with the Harvard Civil Rights Project, USC’s Rossier School of Higher Education, UCLA’s CHOICES Project, Clemson University’s Call Me Mister teacher preparation program, the Llano Grande Center in South Texas, the Institute of Educational Leadership, the Morehouse Research Institute, East Carolina State University, the Education Trust, and the University of North Florida, among others. In each case, we’ve collaborated with researchers, educators, students, and parents to promote the message that increasing education access and equity is this nation’s best path to greater prosperity, health and well being.
